16.12.2016- 20.12.2016
Took a morning flight by Wizz Air out to budapest.
Cost: $95 PLN (approx $35 SGD) /pax

We took bus 200E at the bus terminal to the city centre.
If you are exiting from Terminal 2A, turn right, Terminal 2B, turn left.
Cost: 350HUF/ ticket (approx $1.70 SGD)
* You can buy discounted price tickets: 10 tickets for 3000 HUF)

Checked into our accomodation at: Hostel Budapest Center
Cost: $43 SGD/ Night (Double room with toilet)

Wanted to have lunch at: Ruben Restaurant,
but they are close for event that day.
Headed to the Castle Hill. The view was great and it reminds me of Prague.
It was extremely cold that evening and i was totally shivering.
Had to head over to Starbucks to get some hot drinks.

After that we headed off to the christmas market located at: St. Stephen’s Basilica.
Opening Hours: 11.30- 22:00

It was really cold so we only got some hot mulled white wine.
Don't think i will be able to survive eating outdoor.
But i must say i really like the ambience of this christmas market.
It is beautifully decorated as well!

Breakfast at this really nice cafe near our hostel- Fekete Kavezo
It is not a big place, but i must say that the people are passionate about their coffee!
They do serve simple breakfast sets like this. We got this and a poppy cake to share.
Highly recommend this place if you are in Budapest.
Roamed around the city before collecting our baggage from the hostel,
and heading to Széchenyi thermal bath.
We went there after 5pm because of the discounted price, &
also because we are waiting for our overnight bus to Krakow.
Cost: 5100 HUF($25 SGD) bath ticket with cabin usage
I think it is such a great experience especially in winter.
It was actually so cold that we actually don't think the water is hot enough.
There is actually 2 thermal pool at different temperature.
The challenging part is actually how you are entering the pool and getting out of the pool.
Totally missing the winter right now.

There are showering facilities inside but do note that there are no doors in the bathroom.
After washing up, we headed down to bus station and embarked on our 7 hours bus journey.
We took the Polskibus, i must say that the leg room is really small as compared to other buses.
Cost: 25PLN (approx $9.50 SGD)

We reached Krakow at about 6-ish in the morning and
headed straight to the hostel hoping that we can check in earlier.
Moon Hostel New
Cost: $32/night (Double room with private bathroom)
The staffs were really nice and tried to arrange a room for us at about 10am.
Dropped our bags in the room and headed to Wieliczka Salt Mines.
There are 2 routes that you can choose from: Tourist route or Miners route.
We wanted to have more hands on experiences so we opted for the Miners route.
Really enjoyed it as it was really interactive.
Cost: $84PLN (approx $32 SGD)
Had some time to spare before our tour. So time to grab coffee and breakfast!
So before entering the salt mine, we actually have to change into our miner outfit!
We are in a group with an American family of 4 with a guide to bring us around.
We took the routes that were taken by the miners in the past.
Walked through dark paths underground, licking off salt from the mine,
and many more  really fun and cool experiences...
At the end of it, we were also presented certificates.
We ate pizza at a nearby restaurant before heading back to rest.
The next morning we explored the neighbourhood of our hostel and went for breakfast at:
Kolanko No 6
They had breakfast sets and also buffet breakfast.
We opted for buffet and it was only $22PLN (approx $8).
I must say that the atmosphere is really nice and i enjoyed the food there.

I will really want to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp in future.
Because we do not have enough time and could only choose between salt mines and this.

Headed back to Warsaw that afternoon on Polskibus as it was the cheapest option.
Cost: 12PLN (approx $4.50 SGD)
Duration: 5 hours
