10 days in Netherlands/ Belgium: DAY 3
Morning view of Amsterdam.
Only had the intention to stay in Amsterdam 2 days,
but i felt that i is not sufficient and i haven't got enough of this city.
So ditched the plans on going to Maastricht.

Booked an addition night of room for Amsterdam at Golden Bear Hotel.
Given at it was so last minute, i am thankful that for it.
Also, it only cost: $34.00 Euros for a single room, shared toilet.
The room was not too big, but definitely enough for just 1 person.
It was clean and cozy with friendly staffs!
I like it that they also have a basin in the room as well for connivence.
Another reason why i stayed in Amsterdam for another night is because,
how can anyone miss the Zaanse Schans right?
It was in the Northern part, and was outside Amsterdam city.
Thus, I got the regional transport card for a discount at: $10.00 Euros.

Took bus 391 from the Amsterdam Central Interchange.
It was pretty hard to find, so i have to ask around.

Thankful for nice dutch people there to help me!
Enter the train station from the far right, go past the gantry and follow the signs.
You have to take the stairs up at the far end, and you will reach the interchange.
40 minutes bus ride, and i am there!!!
Went to the Zaans Museum first since i've got free entry.
I want to visit those that i have to pay before my 48 hours expire.

Large fields where the windmills are at over in the second level of the museum.
I was given an audio guide that will tell me a story at specific places.
There was display of the different items like cocao and all in the past.
They tell us the different processes of making the different items in the windmill.

The wind was really strong, and it was rather cold...
but i really love how beautiful and relaxing the whole place is.
Even though there are many tourists there,
but that did not spoil the scenery or mood.
I also love how cocoa smell fills the entire village.
There are many shops along the way for you to buy some souvenirs/ chocolate... back home.
I also went into a windmill that is still working for free since i had the city card!
Wooden houses in the village.
This place feels like a paradise for retirement...
This is the kind of waffles you should probably eat only in Netherlands- Stroopwafels
They smell so nice, and i just can't help it but to get one for myself.

After which, i returned back to Amsterdam city to hop on another bus to Voledam.
It is a small town in North Holland, the location of harbor.
Since i've got the regional transport card, i decided to come explore this town.

And it was another good decision i made...
It was just so nice to stroll along the harbour,
just looking at ships and the sea. So therapeutic.

I've always love the sea and so this was a perfect place for the evening.
Stopped at a cafe by the sea for some food-
Hot chocolate and a truffle egg cheese sandwich,
which is really yummy and having such a nice view is just blessed.

Before leaving the place, i got myself a softie that lots of people was eating.
I don't know what is the yellow flavour and the shop owner doesn't know how to explain to me.
But i still went ahead to try it!

Ending the day with a sunset over at the small town(:
Really love small towns like this when you are away from all the crowd and city life.
