Last morning in Amsterdam was a cloudy one.
Woke up early in the morning to head to Eurolines to purchase my bus ticket to Brussels.
It was also decided the day before that i should go to Belgium.
So i booked accommodation over in Brussels yesterday night.
This trip was rather YOLO i would say.
Lots of impromptu decisions made, it was a whole new experience,
made mistakes and learnt along the way, but definitely worth it!
Also, i am thankful to have luck and the flexibility to do so.
Bus tickets was twice the normal price cause the purchase was so last minute.
Cost: $22.00 Euros
Grabbed breakfast over at this bakery near my hotel.
Bought a strawberry croissant and went back to check-out.
Took a train to Duivendrecht where Eurolines is located at.
It was located near the carpark.
I was there a few hours earlier cause i want to get there before my regional card expires.
I was hoping that there will be a mall or cafe nearby so that i can chill there.
But unfortunately, there is nothing nearby.
So, i could only wait inside Euroline building.
After around 3 hours, i finally arrived in Belgium- Brussels.
Couldn't find the right direction to walk cause my offline map couldn't locate my location.
With the help of some kind souls, i found the right direction.
And gosh, it was approx 30 minutes walk with my backpack.
Finally reached the hostel that i booked, which is located at the far end of the street.
Did not really like the location of the hostel, cause i think that area seems quite shabby.
I felt that it was rather dangerous and thus will try to be back before nightfall.
Urban City Centre Hostel
6 bed dorm (Mixed)
Cost: $43.50 Euros for 2 nights.
Asked the hostel staff to recommend me a dinner place.
This was just round the corner of the hostel.
Le Nil-
French Egyptian Food restaurant.
I ordered a main- chicken chop and a bottled lemon tea.
It comes with fries and bread with the different sauces.
I cannot appreciate the taste of the different sauces tho.
The portion was huge, it was nice and very affordable.
