Booked our return ferry tickets on Myfave from Majestic fast ferry.
It cost approximately $35.
There are 2 terminals that you can choose to alight at.
We chose Batam Centre.
But actually if you are visiting Montigo, Nongsa terminal is much nearer.
You can book the tickets directly from the resort or at other providers.

The package that i booked from the resort: Stay & Relax
One night accommodation: 2 Bedroom Villa with private pool
Daily breakfast
60 minutes massage
$388/ 2 pax
(But due to currency conversion, i actually paid close to $400)

I actually had some issues with the payment before arrival.
I booked the package through the website which they sent me a confirmation email
and asked for my payment details as i was paying through a debit card.
They will need me to send my card information with a photo of my debit card.
(Which i don't feel comfortable with)
After going through several calls to them and
all the frustrations about the payment.
I was so close to cancelling the stay,
but they insisted no cancellation on this "promo" package...
So, i still went ahead with it.

Upon arrival, we went to the Mega Mall to walk around.
There was not much to do so we just went to the supermarket to get some snacks and drinks.
Simple seafood lunch at a restaurant. The bill is quite affordable.
We also packed Gong Bao chicken there for our dinner.
Then, we took a grab to Montigo Resort.
The cost of grab is much cheaper than getting a taxi in Batam.

Checking out the view from the rooftop of our villa.
The whole villa which is 279 m², is definitely too big for us.
1st storey: living room, toilet, kitchen, outdoor dining, pool
2nd storey: 2 Bed rooms with toilet
3rd storey: rooftop
Masterbed room
(Photo taken from resort)

Private pool which i was looking forward to the most.
Spent the rest of the afternoon chilling and snacking
in the villa until it was time for massage.
They provide free buggy rides to every parts of the villa.

Took a buggy to the breakfast area the next morning.
Breakfast selection was good and the view is pretty as well.

After which, we took a walk and explored the jetty before it rained.
Returned back to our villa and plunged into the pool once more before checking out.

Because Montigo is located quite far off from city centre,
there is no grab cars around us.
We've got no choice but to get a driver from the resort to drive us to the city centre.
It was about $20 SGD.
Had lunch at mega mall, played some arcade games, pedicure
and bought some kueh lapis before boarding out ferry back to Singapore.

Overall,
i would say i really like the luxury of having a such a big space and pool to chill and relax.
(I don't think there are other resorts that is so big and has a private pool in Batam.)
The service here is very good too.
However, i would think that it is indeed expensive for the standards of Batam
& given that i am usually a budget traveller.
It is not very accessible and far away from the famous Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall.
But considering that it is during the national day holidays, and that i needed a break
i am glad i went on this short trip out and enjoyed myself(:

  1. $400 is really expensive though... I've seen some other more unique ones... do you think it was worth the money? If u had a choice, would you rather spend it on another resort?

Btw, you look stunning in the pool pic (:
