DAY 13-Taipei臺北(烏來)
11.12.2015
Wulai-烏來
My Taipei friend that i met in Tainan hostel brought me out today! :D
Thankfully for him, it saved me the trouble of figuring out how to get there.
Had plans on visiting Wulai, but then i heard that typhoon hit this part pretty badly.
He came to me up in the morning at my hostel and off we went!

TBH, it was good getting away from the city. I always like such places much more.
Stopped over the old street to get my breakfast since i haven't eaten.
Random stopovers further up the mountain that usually people wouldn't get to.
We wanted to do some walking of the trails, but they all are close due to the damages.
Air was super fresh up the mountain (:

Random waterfalls!
Wanted to take this really slow train down to the old street, but then it wasn't operating,
cause the railway is destroyed as well.

Hot spring time! It was my first time doing it and i was super lost?
Males and Females go to different locations.
All the aunties are super friendly and keep telling me what to do.
Also, i got to speak to almost everyone in there cause they saw how lost i was inside.
Pretty good chance to interact with the locals.
They keep telling me that this place is such a good one because they use the real water from the mountains, unlike some other shops that they use fake water and all.
It was pretty shiok and a really good experience doing hot spring for the first time!
We were hungry by the time we ended, and we got Taiwanese sausages at the old street.

Fish balls which i pretty much like it and
i was hoping that it will taste like the ones i ate in food fairs in Singapore.
Also, we had oyster mee sua and mala stinky beancurd.
They are more towards the sweeter versions tho.
Also, my first time trying out duck's blood.
Ending off dinner with this dessert that is made up of Mee Tai Mak.
In singapore we usually have it salty, but they actually have it as dessert!
Pretty interesting, but a little too much carbo for me.

Played these night market games that my friend grew up playing also.
So cheap? 1 try is only NT $1? Whut?!!
We will never have such prices for games in Singapore right?!
Anw, it was fun and they have tickets which you can exchange for stuffs.
I got this real interesting toy gun!
And i was really really amazed by how cute the gun is.
So much so that i felt like i was a sua ku.

Just when i thought we are ending the day already,
my friend brought me up a mountain for night view!!! (:
There is also a temple located there where many people go as well.
The cars have to queue to get into the parking space.
It was really windy and cold!
Despite it being slightly cloudy, it was a great night!
Thankful to have experiencing Taipei slightly differently than tourists,
and getting to do things that others probably will not be doing...
