31.05.2015
Bidding Nice early in the morning.
Our flight was around 8am in the morning and have to reach airport at around 6 plus.
Since the bus driver for the airport bus is still on strike,
we are supposed to take the public bus.
But unfortunately the first bus timing was quite late,
and we did not want to risk missing our flight.
So then, we decided to take a cab which will cost around $25-$30 Euros.
We went to the tourist info counter and get them to help us book a cab the day before.

The Taxi Scam
TBH, i sensed something bad when the cab driver picked us up from our apartment.
Plus, he kept covering the meter and pressed something on the meter.
And i was so right, cause our ride turn out to be a horrendous amount.
It was around $50 Euros if i was not wrong.
I tried arguing with him and insisted on paying $30 Euros.
But he did not want to let us go and insisted that it was the usual charge.
Since we did not want much trouble, we just paid that amount.
But i was indeed very pissed with the whole incident.
It also spoilt my day, since it happened so early in the morning):
Took a flight from Easyjet from Nice-Rome
It cost: $29.00 Euros
Arrived in Rome, and took an airport transfer to the city centre.
You can get your tickets at the counter near the bus interchange.
Alternative, you can get your tickets online at a slightly cheaper price.
P.s. Please remember to print your bus tickets cause they do not accept e-tickets.

Checked in to the hotel that i booked which is around 10 minutes away from the central station.
It was convenient and also affordable.
Hotel Papa Germano
It cost: $225.00 SGD (2 nights) / Tripple Room- Shared bathroom

After settling down and getting a quick lunch, we went to the Colosseum.
The queue and crowd there was crazy and you have to queue before you can get in.
Combined ticket colosseum roman forum & palatine(Valid for 2 days)-
$12.00 Euros
(P.s. Free admission on the first Sunday of the month)
It is one of the greatest works of architecture.
A place where it was used for gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, animal hunts... in the past.
 Quite an impressive structure.
But the heat and blazing sun is driving me crazy.
Since the ticket could allow us to get to the roman forum,
i let my mum go there with my brother instead.
Found this really nice cafe near-by to just chill while waiting for them.
Loving the decorations of this cafe.
Dinner was at this attas place which has good reviews.
But in the end, it was pretty much disappointment since the food was average and expensive.
Even though the ambience of the place was good.

Roamed around the streets and visited some other attractions along the way back.
